The catholic Bishop of Aba Diocese Most Rev Prof.  Augustine Ndubueze Echema has  confirmed over three hundred students and staff of BOSSS . The bishop administered the sacrament during his official visit to the school on Sunday, the 21st of May, 2023.

In his homily, the bishop lamented the state of things in the country which he blamed on poor governance. He challenged the students to pay attention to their studies and embrace good morals. He noted that education without morality could pose a very serious problem to the society. He described BOSSS as a very good school and admonished the students to make use of the golden opportunity provided to them by the school and their parents who sponsored them in a first class secondary school like BOSSS. While advocating for an open mindset towards learning, he charged the students not to hate any subject and to avoid being choosy when it comes to their feeding. The local ordinary rained praises on the Holy Ghost fathers whom he said have been doing a good job not only in the education apostolate but also in other aspects of missionary work and charged them not to relent in continuing with the good work.

In their thank you remarks, the principal of BOSSS Very Rev. Fr Jude Ekemgba C.S.Sp and the PTA Chairman Mr Henry Ijeh, thanked the bishop for accepting to come and administer the sacrament at BOSSS.  The principal equally used the opportunity to present the award the school just got from Lagos to the admiration of  all present.
